What are meter readings, why do you need to submit them, and how do you report one to us? Here's everything you ever wanted to know about meter readings!

A Crash-Course

Office copiers have one way to tell you how they're performing, what they're doing, and how healthy their functions are: the meter reading. Of course, this information may not seem helpful or important right away--but in the long run, this kind of data can make a big difference for your copier's health, performance, and longevity, not to mention its impact on your budget. Let's take a look at some meter reading questions to help make sense of why this small task can be so important!

What

Meter readings are your copier's way of communicating with you, but they're also a way for you to communicate with your provider. Think of them as a little "check-up" that helps keep things running smoothly.

Why

Although submitting meter readings might seem monotonous, the truth is that it's an important step in copier care. Accurate, timely meter readings make the billing process precise; without them, you'll get charged an estimated rate, which will end up hurting your budget in the long run. You'll also miss out on opportunities to get the service and maintenance that your copier might need.

How

Now that you know what and why - let's get into how!

  • Step 1: Navigate to our Support Center.
  • Step 2: Under the "Help Desk Services and Request Forms" title, look for the red "Meter Read" icon.
